Adam Jatho is
currently a music education major at the University of
Houston where participates as a trumpet section leader to the
Spirit of Houston Marching Band, and takes an active
part in the local chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
Originally from Mesquite, Texas, Adam graduated from
Ralph H. Poteet High School, which was selected as the
4A Texas Music Educators Association Honor Band. While
at Poteet, he auditioned and was selected for the TMEA
All-Region and All-State bands.
His marching career includes lead
trumpet with The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps from
Allentown, Pennsylvania, and three years with
the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps from Fort Mill,
South Carolina, who recently placed 2nd
and won the coveted Jim Ott High Brass Award at the 2009
Drum Corps International World Championships.
In addition to being a marching
tech for the William B. Travis High School, he teaches
trumpet lessons for FBISD. In his spare time, Adam
enjoys hanging out with friends and family, reading
books, and playing wii.
