Jennifer Haines is the
Dance Director of the Travis Belles Dance Team and
Travis High School Dance Program, established in 2006 in
Richmond, Texas. Prior to joining the staff at Travis
High School, she was the Assistant Dance Director at
Hightower High School in Fort Bend ISD.
The Travis Belles Dance
Team has received numerous accolades under the direction
of Mrs. Haines. The team and officer lines have received
a Division I on every dance contest routine, a Division
I with the Travis Tiger Marching Band at marching
contest, Circle of Gold Officer awards, Most Disciplined
Officer Line awards, Grand Champion awards, Outstanding
Home Routine Awards, Choreography awards, Showmanship
and Presentation awards, Super-Sweepstakes awards and
Awards of Excellence.
Mrs. Haines is a proud
alumnus of the University of Houston, where she was
awarded the Joanna Friesen Dance Scholarship, performed
with the UH modern dance company, the ENSEMBLE, and
graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in
Communications / Public Relations and a minor in Dance.
Jennifer has been dancing since the age of four at
various Sugar Land-area schools and was one of the
original Austin Angels. Since 2002, Jennifer has been a
performing member of award-winning local modern dance
company Suchu Dance, and she continues to perform when
time allows.
Jennifer and her
husband Paul are proud owners of their crazy, little
dachshund Sputnik and are excitedly awaiting their first
child in 2009.
